Pharmacology is the study of the body of knowledge about the interaction of medicinal chemicals with living cells, tissues, or organisms. This course is designed to introduce medical pharmacology to students who are pursuing degrees in the Medical Sciences. The aim of the course is to help students understand the interactions between chemicals and living tissues. Students should learn the pharmacological effects, mechanism of actions, clinical applications and adverse reactions of the drugs used for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of disease. As Pharmacology is also a practical course, students should not only learn the basic operational skills and related theories through the lectures, the experimental teaching and learning, but also should learn to design experiments, analyze data and improve their critical thinking
