课程概述
《英语电影赏析》是《大学英语》后续拓展课程,也是通识教育选修课。本课程以英美优秀电影代表作品为学习素材,纯英文授课,教学视频配英文字幕。教学内容主要围绕电影剧情发展、主题分析、人物分析、叙事方式、导演创作意图、艺术展示手法、相关文化、历史背景等知识点进行深度分析。
本课程选取七部反映电影不同题材经典代表作品为教学主要内容。这七部电影分别是:“浪漫与爱情”题材影片《泰坦尼克号》、“人与社会”题材影片《阿甘正传》、“校园文化”题材影片《生命因你而动听》、“梦想与励志”题材影片《当幸福来敲门》、“二战与犹太人大屠杀”题材影片《辛德勒名单》、“美国西部”题材影片《秋日传奇》及“音乐剧”题材影片《音乐之声》。教学内容主要围绕电影剧情发展、电影主题分析、电影主要人物分析、电影叙事方式、电影导演创作意图、电影艺术展示手法、电影相关文化、历史、背景知识等内容进行深度分析。本课程不仅侧重整部电影欣赏,同时还有针对性地选择电影部分精彩片段、电影特定人物、重要历史事件进行有针对性地分析和解读。每部影片还提供电影剧情分析与评论、问题讨论、自我测试。本课程以培养学生英语综合能力、电影艺术鉴赏能力及创新思辨能力为宗旨。
