本期《大学英文写作》课程是大一《大学英语读写课》的辅助学习园地和同伴互助平台,目的是帮助钱学森创新拓展班学员课外自主学习,系统掌握大学英文基本的写作方法和技巧,夯实写作基本功,为论文写作、出国留学和将来对外交流做好充分准备。
英文写作说到底是一门实践课。因此,本课程强调实践,讲授按照过程写作法组织知识点,例子剖析贯穿始终,为学生提供边学边练的机会。本课程共30单元, 第1单元为课程概况,第2-9单元为英文写作的基本知识(Writing Basics); 第10-21单元为写作策略或模式(Writing Strategies or Patterns)。这两部分都属于《大学英文写作》课程的基础部分,系统梳理英文学术写作所需的知识、技巧、策略和规范。第22-30单元着手于具体的写作任务(Writing Tasks), 该部分涵盖总结、评述、较长论文、实验报告、电子书信、备忘录、留学书文等,力求兼顾同学们英文写作的特殊需求。
课程按MOOC形式要求,每单元包含若干微视频、课堂讨论平台及配套练习,方便学生复习和预习课程内容。另外,设有两次写作考核,期中考试作文一篇,750~1200词,由学生自选题目,记叙文或者说明文不限,期末统一命题、限时作文,600~800词论说文一篇。 课程结束时,学员能够基本掌握大学英文写作:了解写作过程和学习规律,能够完成西方高校英文写作课程、人文社科课程和专业课程一般性的写作任务、写作规范和写作方法,作文基本做到条理清晰,连接自然,论据充分,具有说服力。
完成课程90%部分的学习,平时成绩占60%,互评作文成绩40%,合格分数为60分,优秀分数为90。
