国防科技大学是国家“985工程”和“211工程”重点建设的国内一流综合性大学，享有“军中清华”的美誉，在现代教育技术和精品资源课程建设领域始终走在全国前列。
继成功推出《大学英语（口语）》和《大学英文写作》两门中国大学MOOC课程之后，国防科技大学外语团队重磅推出《大学英语综合课程》。本课程分为四个级别，分别为《大学英语综合课程（一）》、《大学英语综合课程（二）》、《大学英语综合课程（三）》和《大学英语综合课程（四）》，共40个单元120讲。每个单元均以主题为线索，在完成听、说、读、写、译等语言基本技能的综合训练过程中，注重对课文的整体理解、常用语言知识的讲解、关键词汇和句型的运用、文本特色和常用修辞的欣赏和分析；促进学习者对语言基础知识的掌握，培养学习者扎实的语言基本功，帮助学习者提高语言的综合应用能力；注重培养学习者的跨文化意识，提升和培养学习者的跨文化能力；注重锻炼学习者独立思考、提出问题与解决问题等自主学习能力和批判思维能力；注重学员的产出，特别是写作能力的培养，对每一个单元，都有针对性地对本单元所涉及的主要课文对象和写作任务进行了适度讲解，便于学习者领会写作任务，开展写作学习，完成相应的写作任务。
《大学英语综合课程（三）》的每个单元有三大讲构成。第一讲（Active Reading 1）和第二讲（Active Reading 2）包括课文分析、语言运用（涉及语言特色、修辞手法、句型讲解、词汇学习等）和文化小贴士等三个微视频，注重语言综合技能训练和文化意识提升；第三讲（Reading Across Cultures & Writing）包括课文阅读、文化拓展和写作训练三个微视频，侧重跨文化交际能力、思辨能力、以及写作技能的培养。
本课程的课程负责人为梁晓波副院长，四册授课内容分别由林骊珠、彭天笑两位主讲老师完成。《大学英语综合课程（一）》与《大学英语综合课程（二）》相对注重基础知识的学习和基础能力的培养，《大学英语综合课程（三）》与《大学英语综合课程（四）》则更加注重学习者的更高需求。课程在整体上体现了基础性、系统性、完整性、实用性，对于《大学英语》的各类学习者，都有较好的适用性。
《大学英语综合课程（三）》共10个单元，涉及发现自我、童年记忆、艺术欣赏、社会变迁、英雄主义、科技、节日、姓氏文化、神话传说等10个主题。

学习起点：
能听懂一般性题材的音视频资料，读懂一般性题材的英语文章，能就常见话题用英语进行交流，能完成一般性写作任务。
课程学习的总成绩由单元测试成绩、期末考试成绩以及在“课堂交流区”的论坛表现三部分构成。
总分按百分制计分，60分至84分为合格，85分至100分为优秀。
证书分为免费证书和收费认证证书两类。
