This course is focused on a select group of topics that provide the foundation for good landscape planning and design. We realize that for some students this maybe your only exposure to landscape planning and design, while for others it may provide foundation for additional coursework. Regardless, our aim in developing this curriculum was to provide a sound framework for all LA foreign and native students.
The syllabus are organized to provide sequential coverage of the topic of landscape planning and design. Chapter 1 describes what Is landscape design, and Chapter 2 introduces the elements and principles of Landscape design. Chapter 3 discusses how to design a garden. Chapter 4 describes planting design and Chapter 5 discusses road greening design. In Chapter 6, urban square design is discussed, including the classification of square and the pavement design of square. With the foundation for design process in place, Chapter7 and Chapter 8 provide detailed descriptions of park design and Waterfront Landscape design. Chapter 9 describes ecological design, and finally, Chapter 10 discusses child's space and activities.
