This course is an introduction to economics, which studies how individuals and firms, government and society make decisions. On the micro side, this course will provide students with a necessary business environment and acquaints them with business skills and policies. On the macro side, we construct a theoretical model that describes how each of economic variables (like income, employment, the price level, interest rates and exchange rates) is determined in both the long- and short-run. After the model is completed, we investigate issues of business cycle theory, foreign trade and macroeconomic policy.
