课程概述

每个人学英语的方式是不同的,有的是通过看电影学英语,有的则是通过唱歌学英语。《西方文化之窗》则是通过听故事、理解故事来学英语。这是一门文化通识性课程,面向社会喜欢文化研究、热心提高文化修养的学习者进行开放。它以希腊神话故事和基督教故事为载体,通过挖掘故事背后的哲理,帮助学生深刻理解两希文明对西方社会方方面面的影响;同时通过中西文化对比,锻炼学生的批判性思维,增强学生对中西两种文化的认识

《西方文化之窗》采用线上、线下相结合的方式,线上观看精心制作的视频、聆听古人智慧;线下阅读材料,参与课堂讨论、挑战思维。课程是全英教学,内容丰富有趣,虽没有面面俱到,但足以扩大自己的知识面,提升个人的跨文化交际能力以及英语的表达能力,并时不时给您带来思维挑战,让您对中西文化现象和交流有更深的了解、对跨文化交际有进一步的认识。课程配备英语字幕,供学习者需要。

 课程形式为视频讲授。视频讲授由主讲教师担任,每周围绕一个主题进行讲授,有的主题被分解为多个知识点,以三至五段视频呈现。

成绩 要求

60-84分为合格,获得合格证书;85及其以上为优秀,获得优秀证书。

每个单元有一次测验和一次作业,共14单元,取平均分,各占总成绩30%。

总成绩分布如下:
