With the economic globalization, the importance of improving our listening and speaking ability either as professionals or in our daily living cannot be overly emphasized.

    This course is one of the most important courses for business English majors. It regards English listening and speaking skills as the core and foreign trade process as the topics. It is mainly designed to help students accomplish transition from general English learning to specialized English learning, and to help students who can be considered as a trainee learn how to work in a foreign trade company, aiming at preparation for a future business career.

    As for the structure of this course, there are 12 units totally /including job interview , company description, jobs and responsibilities, office work, company meetings, business receptions, product presentation, inquiries and offers, business negotiations，orders and shipment, payment and contracts, complaints and claims from the perspective of enhancing students’ listening and speaking skills.

本课程选取经贸行业共同的典型交际任务，再现职场工作场景，从新入职的实习生“小白”的视角出发，完成初进职场、认识同事、相互介绍、了解公司、接待外国客户、参观公司、感受公司文化、掌握基本社交礼仪、帮助他人、友好告别等一系列设计巧妙的活动，将英语技能与人文素质的培养有效融合，避免说教，让学生在行动中学习和感悟，以此让学生了解和掌握实习生“小白”的职责和职场修炼过程，同时实现岗位对接，提高学生的职业素质和业务水平，并培养学生对中国文化的基本推介能力。旨在通过讲授典型交际任务、英语听说基本技巧以及对学生进行实用、典型的工作场景的训练，使学生初步具备经贸工作岗位能力，提高学生的逻辑思维能力、语言组织能力及英语表达能力，成为经贸类岗位上的合格从业人员。具体课程目标如下：

1.使学员提升英语听说技能，

2.使学员掌握经贸行业典型交际任务，

3. 提升跨文化交际能力，

4.以新入职实习生为视角，知识传输与实训拓展相结合，做好灵活应用、举一反三。

     学员需具备高中英语水平。本课程是一门商务、语言类的技能课，适合所有专业学生和对英语听说技能提升感兴趣的学习者。

A :  讨论区可使用中英双语，目的是解决大家在学习中遇到的问题。

Q :  单元测试提交的时间有限制吗？

A :  单元测试提交时间已在系统设置中设置，大家开课后完成测试时，可以看到日期提示，截止日期后将不能提交，请大家务必按时完成。单元测试占课程总分的60%，所以大家一定要保质保量独立完成每一次测试，准时提交。
