Digital
Fundamentals is one of the most important major basic courses for students
majored in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Communication Engineering and so
on.
In this course, both theoretical sections and experimental sections are included. Theoretical sections have covered the digital logic fundamentals, the analysis and design of digital circuits, the applications of MSIs. Experimental sections focus on training students with different chips.
With the help of this course, student will be armed with basic methods of digital circuits analysis and design, and also prepared for major core courses, including Microcomputer Principle, SCM Principe, EDA Technology, Embeded Systems, as well as further students technic innovation activities.
After completing this course, you should be able to
1) Master the all-important fundamental concepts of digital theories
2) Apply logical algebra to solve logical problems
3) Correctly use digital integrated circuits
4) Analyze and design digital logic circuits
5) Correctly use the auxiliary circuit of the digital logic circuit system
The course assessment results consist of on-line learning results, off-line class results, experimental results and final examination results. The final exam can be either online or offline. The overall ratio between online and offline is 40% (online) +60% (offline). The specific composition proportion of each part of the grades should be determined by the teacher of the course before the class begins and announced to the students.
1) on-line learning performance includes online in-class test, unit test and other test results;
2) off-line class, including attendance, class discussion and student mutual assessment;
3) the experiment shall be carried out in the laboratory. The experimental results include experimental operation and experimental report. The experimental operation mainly examines the students' experimental wiring and the completion of experimental results, as well as the analysis of experimental results and the writing of experimental report.
4) whether on-line or off-line, the final examination mainly examines the mastery of basic concepts, basic circuits, basic analysis and design methods.
Before you will be studying digital fundamentals in this course, you should also know something about analog Electronic.
