EAP Listening I runs for 14 weeks, with twice a week sessions .

Having successfully completed this module,the students will be capable of:

·Skillfully analyzing different types of listening exercise

·Making predictions while analyzing exercises

·Developing note-taking skills

·Expanding academic vocabulary and use them appropriately in listening & speaking

·Being acquainted with most widely used pronunciation rules and apply them to listening and speaking practice

·Being Familiar with academic contexts

·Making lengthened conversations on most frequently encountered contexts

·Planning and organizing preliminary level presentation

·Promoting critical thinking skills and relevant charts

·Becoming more prepared for CET 4

·Embracing humanistic concern on global issues

基于切实的学术英语需求，本课程的教学目标分为三个维度：

认知目标：学生掌握学术英语基本词汇和听力技巧、锻炼英语表述能力；学生具备上纯英和双语课程的语言能力。

技能目标：学生实现Mooc学习平台的自主学习、熟悉思维导图引导下的学术信息归纳整理方法、实现公共英语表达；学生具备支持其终身学习的外语能力。

思辨与课程思政：批判式思维和课程思政让学生“学而思”，启发其良好的学术思维，形成积极正面的学术态度，形成更高阶的学术认知。

Marks of Exercises stand for 30% in each Unit（每单元练习作业占30%）.

Marks of Discussion stand for 20% in each Unit（每单元讨论占20%）.

Marks of Quiz stand for 50% in each Unit（每单元测试作业占50%）.
