This course is designed for the need of acquiring by comparison a more comprehensive and further understanding of cultural essentials of both China and foreign countries. This course is largely pertinent to 4 areas,namely literature, education, art and ideology.A comparative study might help expose and identify the advantage and disadvantage of the concerned aspects of cultures in terms of historical retrospect without caring much for racial and ethical distinction. It sharpens the wits of students by means of discussion and presentation of students.

Through the study of different units, students are guided to enter the rich and colorful world of cultures. Through relevant cultural guidance and specific text reading, reflect on yourselves and traditions, seek innovation and differences , and cultivate creative and critical thinking, so as to be a truly educated new-type student with professional expertise, high realm and life ideal.
