课程概述

“Theory of Machine and Mechanisms” is one of the important technical foundation courses for mechanical students. The main contents of this course are the basic principles and analysis methods of commonly used mechanisms. The courses is scheduled for 40 hours, while the core contents can be accomplished in 32 hours. The outline includes the structural compositions of mechanisms, mechanical kinematics and dynamics, the analysis and synthesis of some typical mechanisms (linkage mechanisms, cam mechanisms, gear mechanisms, gear trains, ratchet mechanisms, Geneva mechanisms, universal joints and screw mechanisms). Questions and exercises are attached.. This course aims to cultivate students’ basic analysis and design ability for mechanisms, which is a fundamental skill in analyzing existing machines and designing new ones.
