课程概述

Digital image processing course was a compulsory course for college students majoring in Surveying Science and Technology, Remote Sensing Science and Technology. The main content includes three parts: the first part is the basis of digital image processing, which consists of three chapters: introduction, basic concepts of digital image processing and image transformation; the second part is the theory, methods and examples of digital image processing, including three chapters: image enhancement, image restoration and reconstruction, image coding and compression; the third part is the basic theory of image feature extraction and analysis Methods and examples, including four chapters: image segmentation, binary image processing and shape analysis, texture analysis, template matching and pattern recognition.

The digital image processing course was awarded the excellent course honor by the Wuhan University and the Hubei Provincial Government in 2003. In 2004, it achieved the National Excellent Course Honor and became the first national excellent course in the field of Surveying and Mapping. In 2016 and 2018, it won the national quality resource sharing course and national quality online course respectively. In 2018, the digital image processing course became one of the core platform courses for students majoring in Surveying Science and Technology, Remote Sensing Science and Technology.

 

授课目标

The aims of this course are summarized below: 

1) Require students to master the basic concepts, principles, methods and applications of digital image processing.

2) Cultivate the ubiquitous learning ability and information processing ability of the students.

3) Enhance the students' sense of innovation and creative thinking ability, improve their practical ability and innovation ability.

4) Lay the foundation for students to help them study courses such as digital photogrammetry, remote sensing and pattern recognition, and help students to use the digital image processing knowledge and technology to solve problems in natural science and real life.
