WHY
Do you want to be a good acupuncture doctor or researcher?
Acumox is a kind of traditional medicine, which is not born from the laboratories but based on experience. The experience summarized in the textbook is useful but not complete, not so reliable and may be misleading sometimes.
An advanced acupuncture doctor or researcher not only needs to know what, which is from modern acumox textbooks; but also need to know why. As a tradition medicine based on experience, we can only trace back to the classics to find out this "why".
What's more, when we integrate modern science and ancient experience together, it's very possible that we can be inspired by these ancient experience and discover something new for the science of medicine.
So, if you want to be a good doctor or research, respect the experience and join the course.
WHAT
What will you learn?
Selected Readings in Acumox Classic covers the development of various knowledge points in acupuncture and moxibustion, and the development is elucidated by excerpts from ancient literatures from the period of Silk Book and Bamboo Slip Book to the Republic of China.
What will you get?
You'll be more confident in clinical practice.
You'll know the acumox development, and related historical and cultural background as well.
You'll have more reflections and understandings on what you have learnred in previous subjects.
In one word, you'll have the knowledge as well as the insight for your professional development.
What's special?
Ancient literature is not well organized. The article may contain everything, and the topic will even change frequently in one single article. This is really terrifying and we fully understand that, so we reorganize the classic to facilitate the learning of ancient literature.
The ancient texts about acumox are classified according to the subject they belong to, i.e. meridians and collaterals, acupoints, techniques and therapy. And, we make further classification of the texts, so they're put into different topics, for example, for 8 extraordinary vessels, we will collect all important texts from classic literature, and arrange them chronologically. We believe this will be much easier for you to know the development of those important conceptions and knowledge points.
Don't take this course as a review of what you've learned, because it is not. This course is an improvement of what you have learned. You will find something new from what you think you've grasped.
