【课程特色】

错误为纲 内容重塑     课程以中国学生在英文写作中常犯的错误为纲组织教学内容,每一讲都涉及中英文写作的差异,由此提升学习者对中英文写作差异的认识和意识,从而有效地避免英文写作中的中式思维。


学生范文 目标可及     课程所有范文均来自于学生的日常习作,通过对问题作文的修改与润色,引领学习者认识到每一篇作文都可以通过修改变得更加完善,每个学生通过训练都能写出高水平作文,提升学员的写作自信。


以改学写 以改促写   聚焦学生“能写不会写、写后不会改”的困境,精选学生问题作文,提供视频修改案例,在手把手修改过程中引导学生了解提升作文质量的途径与策略,提高学生的自主写作与自主修改能力。


顺序写作 过程梳理    课程根据作文写作的过程安排内容,帮助学习者认识到从写前的思想产生、到写中的篇章布局和段落组织、段落中词句的选取,以及写后的润色提升是一个完整闭环。通过学习,学习者将在写作独立性方面得到提升。


思维训练 思想引领    以国际热点话题写作进行思维训练,提高学生的批判性思维能力、逻辑推理能力和独立思考能力;通过引导学生在时代背景下思考中国立场、拓展思想深度和层次,训练学生的思维习惯,培养有思想的学习者和写作者。


【专属通道】

本课程将为职前和在任英语师资提供专属服务,具体分为两类。一类为职前英语师资提供教学设计的帮助与咨询,另一类为教育资源相对匮乏尤其是山区中小学的英语教师提供一切英语写作教学与辅导的支持,同时本校学生将为学生提供一对一的英语写作指导。有需求的学员或老师请联系课程助教。我们将第一时间进行回复。


【教学团队】

教学团队集本院写作教研骨干、中外合作、跨校合作、结构合理、教学能力突出。课程总体规划督导为中国英汉比较研究会写作教学与研究专业委员会秘书长、省国外语言学学会常务理事、应用语言学专业委员会会长王颖教授、课程实施总指导为系主任卢敏教授。


教学团队多年从事初、中、高级英语写作和学术英语写作教学。课程负责人和主讲人邵春燕副教授为北京大学和伊利诺伊大学香槟分校联合培养博士,并于哈佛大学语言学系访学,期间全面了解和体验了哈佛大学与MIT写作课程的体系设置和教学;荣获院、校级各类教学奖项并获得第三届“外教社杯”全国高校外语教学大赛山东省一等奖、全国高校外语写作同伴互评教学大赛全国特等奖、第34届山东省社科优秀成果二等奖;主讲课程《学术英语写作》获批省级一流课程。


团队成员杨凯博士获普渡大学哲学博士学位,在普渡大学期间教授各类学术英语写作课程。连续多年获普渡大学英语系优秀教学奖、优秀写作教学奖等。Ally Wilson在中国长期教授学术英语写作并担任雅思考官,具有多年针对中国学生的英语写作教学经验,深谙中英文写作的差异。

团队成员各有所长、学缘互补,保障了本课程既对接国际前沿,又落地本土需求,从而为学员提供全方位的英语写作指导。


【课程定位】

本课程是学习者向高级或研究型写作过渡的衔接课程,对接哈佛大学和MIT写作课程与工作坊中的基础写作,旨在提高英语学习者的基础写作能力,为高级阶段的学术英语写作奠定基础。因此,本课程既是连通专业学术英语写作的桥梁,适合有意深造的高校大学生,又是一门独立的写作训练课程,适合具有一定英语基础但拘囿于汉语思维而缺乏英语写作技巧的高中生及有书面英语沟通需求的在职人士。


【课程概况】

本课程在山东大学外国语学院写作团队的支持和指导下,历经8年的行动研究,期间通过反复论证,多方听取学生反馈,针对学生写作中凸显的核心问题,调整教学思路和课程内容,最终形成了一套贴合中国学生需求、旨在改变中国学生固有思维方式、形成英语思维的教学方法,教学评价和教学效果均为优秀。


本课程聚焦于中国学生英文写作中的核心问题,以中国学生英语写作中常犯的错误为纲,有针对性地讲解英语写作,使学生了解中英文写作的差异,从而能够对文章进行有效的修改与提升。具体包括:如何选择话题,如何开篇、选定主题句、组织段落结构、结尾,如何产出观点,如何使用例证和数据论证观点,如何反驳对立观点,如何使用学术语言,如何避免中文思维方式,如何提升篇章衔接、如何避免逻辑谬误等。


本课程将过程教学法和成果教学法相结合,引导学习者体验从写前构思、写作到写后修改的全过程,培养其独立写作能力;同时,本课程所有的问题例文均来自于学生的日常习作;通过对问题作文的不断修改,不仅使学习者了解了写作修改的基本思路,提高其使用英文进行写作的信心,更使学习者体验到将问题作文修改为较完美的文章的过程,从而提升其对于英语写作的信念。

授课目标

1.了解学术英语写作的基本特征。

2. 提升学术英语语言表达能力,如学术词汇、句子的选择在写作中的运用能力。

3. 增强写作者与读者的交互意识,熟悉学术英语段落与篇章写作规范。

4. 修正拼写,标点,句子等常见错误。

      5. 掌握论说文(argumentation)的写作特点,提升思辨能力。


成绩 要求

本课程的总成绩由四部分构成,具体如下:


1.    单元测验(20%):本课程共有6次单元测验。每次测验题目1-2个,均为客观题(单选题或判断题)。测验允许答题2次,答题时间为10分钟,取最高成绩。

2.    单元作业(30%):本课程共设置1次单元作业,以学员互评方式打分。每次单元作业,每位学员需评价至少5份其他学员的作业。单元作业的计分规则为:

1)未参与互评的学生将给予所得分数的20%

2)未完成互评的学生将给予所得分数的50%

3)完成全部互评的学生将给予所得分数的100%
