With the development of society and medical models, nurses are facing more ethical dilemmas in clinical practice. As a marginal branch of applied ethics that concerns itself with activities in the fields of both nursing and ethics, nursing ethics studies the emergence, development, and change regularity of nursing morality as well as the application of the moral principles and code of nursing to coordinate interpersonal relationships in nursing and address the ethical and moral issues in nursing practice.
This course aims to provide nursing students with the correct value orientation, enable them to establish the humanitarian spirit of “people-oriented care”, help them identify ethical issues in nursing practice, and empower them to think rationally, evaluate correctly, and make fair decisions so that they will be able to serve the best interests of patients while addressing issues in nursing ethics.
“Nursing Ethics” MOOC will be delivered by a team of teachers with rich teaching experience in nursing and ethics, including ZHANG Fengying, LI Xiaoling, LI Yan, ZHAO Li, LIU Yan, ZHANG Hongsong, HU Xiaolin, TANG Menglin, LIU Yiwen, LIU Chunjuan, and WANG Lei.
