课程概述

Theoretical Mechanics is the science of the general laws of mechanical motions of material bodies.  It’s the theoretical basis of modern engineering technology, belongs to the scope of classical mechanics. Theoretical Mechanics is also an important foundation of many advanced courses, such as material mechanics, mechanical theory, structural mechanics, elasticity theory, fluid mechanics, mechanical oscillations, etc. The topics of Statics, Kinematics and Dynamics are extensively covered in this course

授课目标
By studying this course, students will learn to solve the balance problem of coplanar force system . Secondly, they master how to analyse the motion of a particle and rigid body system.Besides, students will master the general theorems of dynamics.
成绩要求

1. Finsh all  the test of every chapter. 40%；

2. Finsh the final test of this course. 60%；

Total mark 60-84, Qualification

Total mark 85-100, Excellence
