课程概述

"Stability and Control" are the most basic and important characteristics of an airplane. 


This course mainly discusses how to determine the airplane design requirements from the perspective of stability and control characteristics, and how to evaluate the stability and control characteristics of a given airplane. 

Through the study of this course, students will master the concept of static stability, dynamic stability, the influence of airplane components on stability, how to control an airplane, how to build the airplane mathematical model, and how to evaluate the stability and control characteristics of an airplane.

授课目标

Students will get a straight understanding to airplane stability and control. 

On completing the course, students will be able to: 

1. Understand the mechanism of static/dynamic stability and control;

2. Derive and linearize the Equation of Motion;

3. Analyze and evaluate the static/dynamic stability and control.
