It is important for people to have an entrepreneurial mindset, maintain a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and apply entrepreneurial spirit and skills to their work practices. The pursuit of innovation and entrepreneurship will also make you more influential.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship  Foundation is a liberal arts course on innovation and entrepreneurship offered by Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Through the lectures of the teaching team led by Professor Zhao Bo, this course will help you to understand the inherent laws and the uniqueness of entrepreneurial activities, understand the characteristics of startups and the problems often encountered in the process of entrepreneurial management, explore the connotation of innovative entrepreneurship and summarize the experience of management innovation from the practice of entrepreneurship and ways to enhance competitiveness.

It is not necessary to start a business to study and learn about entrepreneurship. All job holders and professional learners can adopt the concept of innovative entrepreneurship education to develop their own innovative thinking, innovative ability, entrepreneurship, teamwork capabilities and communication skills. These competencies and spirits are essential for 21st century innovators. For all types of people, it will make you more influential to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship. Therefore, this course is aimed at various groups interested in innovation and entrepreneurship.

You will have the following benefits as you progress through this course.

First, understand entrepreneurship, shape and strengthen it and value its important role in career development.

Second, understand personalities, innovators and the entrepreneurial mindset. Develop learners' innovative thinking, positive entrepreneurial spirit and teamwork skills.

Third, understand the process and laws of entrepreneurship. Acquire entrepreneurial skills such as opportunity identification, innovation, resource integration, team building and knowledge integration. Understand the legal issues related to the establishment of a new business and grasp the focus of the management of a new business.

Fourth, provide an opportunity for learners from a variety of disciplines, including engineering science, social science and management, to collaborate. Learners will play a variety of managerial roles in the simulated company they build, embodying the whole process of innovative entrepreneurship and developing the ability to creatively analyze and solve problems.

1. Be able to define clearly the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship.

2. Learn to identify and describe problems in life.

3. Understand the basic process of entrepreneurship and the basic theories of the market and finance.

4. Learn to make a complete entrepreneurship plan using relevant entrepreneurship theory.

     Propaedeutics: This course is a foundation course in innovative entrepreneurship and provides a foundation for further study in other entrepreneurship courses. Students would be better served by studying some of the basic knowledge of management and economy in advance.
