There are four modules: 1) in knowledge level: introduce main theories of conceptions and theories of cross-cultural communication; 2) in awareness level, introduce cultural sensitivity and cultural identity; 3) in behavioral level, introduce communication and nonverbal communication as well as cross-cultural adjustment; 4) in epidemic situation how to understand the different behavior in different countries from cultural perspective, but not from an political perspective, such as wearing mask, and quarantine etc.
There are three main objectives:
1. Sensitize you to cross-cultural communication basic conceptions and theories. It is hoped that this course will encourage you to view cross-cultural communication in a broader psychological perspective, and to recognize the importance of culture in understanding the human behavior.
2. Improve your cultural sensitivity, and acquaint you with the basic elements of cross-cultural communication. Understand the equality of cultures. Reduce misunderstanding of different cultures;
3. Rich your experience of cross-cultural communication through the cases and practices, and improve your cross-cultural communication competency.
