课程概述
体育英语II是一门公共类通识英语课程,内容主要包括体育运动项目介绍、体育锻炼基本知识、体育研究入门等,学生既可以在完成体育英语I的基础上继续修读,也可以直接进入到32学时的系统学习,掌握棒球、游泳、击剑、滑雪、滑冰、健美操、武术七个运动项目的基础知识。与此同时,通过自学拓展阅读材料,了解体育锻炼的功能、原则和方法,能熟练运用互联网获取国外高校体育专业教学与研究的最新信息等。
本课程旨在拓展学生的国际视野,提高他们在体育专业领域实际运用英语语言的能力,培养良好的意志品质和思维习惯,增强文化自信,在参与国际交流的同时能够更好地宣传中华传统体育文化。
本课程的特色和亮点在于英语语言知识、体育专业知识和思政内容的深度融合,依托浅显易懂的文本介绍体育项目,配以丰富的的图片和视频资料,在例句选择和讨论题的设计上也颇具匠心,尽量做到与体育相关,并带有积极的思政元素,让学生在充分理解文本的基础上既学习了语言,又掌握了体育专业知识,还能进一步培养爱国主义精神、公平竞争意识、以及积极的人生态度。

1.掌握七大体育项目即棒球、游泳、击剑、滑雪、滑冰、健美操、武术的基础知识,包括起源发展、管理机构、场地器材、基本技术、基本规则、主要分类等;
2.能够运用所学的基本英语词汇和句型对以上项目进行简单介绍,并能在观看比赛时运用所学知识更好地欣赏这些项目;
3.能够结合词汇讲解时的例句以及讨论题,培养积极乐观的人生态度、良好的意志品质和思维习惯,增强文化自信,在参与国际交流的同时能够更好地宣传中华传统体育文化;
