About this course

Internatinal payment, which closely connects theories of finance and trade and practices, is a compulsory course for students majored in finance and international trade. This course introduces how banks utilize proper financial documents and commercial documents to settle the international debt accounts through relevant settlement methods, and how to control and manage risks arising during the course of settlement.


This course covers four parts: the theory of international payment, the mode of international payment, and the management of international payment. Students will have a thorough understanding of international payment through the perfect theory structure and vivid illustrations in this course.


The lectures and assessment exams are designed to provide structured learning of the key concepts, measures, models relevant to the course.

Objectives

The objective of this course is to familiarize  students with theories an practises in international payment. The students will learn about financial innovations and risk managements in international payments and the specialties in Chinese bankking practices. In all, the course aims to increase students' financial literacy and abilities to deal with financial practices.
