《英语精读2》是我校开设的一门必修基础课程。该课程以外语教学理论为指导，以英语语言知识与应用技能、跨文化交际和学习策略为主要内容，是集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。课程遵循“以应用为目的，实用为主”的教学思想，旨在培养学生的英语综合应用能力，同时增强其自主学习能力，提高综合文化素养，通过 “听、说、读、写、译”的训练，为学生升入高年级打好扎实基础。
知识目标：
1. 进一步强化英语语言基础阶段的训练，在扩大词汇量、了解英语语言国家文化的基础上，更加注重学生“听、说、读、写、译”技能的提升。
2. 帮助学生熟悉和掌握基础语言知识、习得基本语言技能，促进学生语言综合运用能力，尤其是日常口语交流能力的提升。
能力目标：
3. 增强学生对英语语言国家历史、社会、思维模式、文化差异的敏感性，使学生能够熟练运用英语进行跨文化交际。
4. 鼓励和激发学生的纵向思维潜能，提升其批判性思维的能力，培养其发现问题、分析问题、解决问题的研究能力，提高其自主学习、小组合作学习及学习资源和策略共享等能力。
素质目标：
5. 帮助学生树立正确的语言观、文化观、人生观和价值观，培养其批判精神和创新意识，陶冶情操，开阔视野，提升人文修养。
课程亮点：
本门课程的亮点在于强调东西方文化差异在英语教学中的作用，通过话题性探索，让同学们习得相应语言知识和技能的同时，更多了解东西方的文化差异，提升其跨文化交际能力，拓展其国际视野。
同学们，《英语精读2》将作为我校疫情期间汉语国际教育专业学生线上学习内容，请同学们认真学习，按时完成各项学习任务，线上学习成果将成为开学以后学业评估的主要依据，也对期末考核有着很重要的影响。
