《大学英语》是面向全校非英语专业学生的一门重要的基础课和必修课。该课程是以最新的语言教学理论为指导，以培养学生的语言综合应用能力和跨文化交际能力为主要内容，集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。在大学英语教学中，我们按照最新的《大学英语教学指南》精神，结合学生的实际情况，本着因材施教的原则，我们将传统课堂教学和基于多媒体技术的现代教学相结合，不断更新和完善教学内容和手段，以网络为载体，制作多媒体教学课件，丰富各类形式的学习内容，调动学生自主学习的主动性和积极性，培养他们的语言综合应用能力、跨文化交际能力和批判性思考能力。
《大学英语4》是大学英语课程体系的高级阶段，这一阶段强调学生的各项语言应用能力的培养。在教学中，首先继续扩充学生的词汇量，其次扩大阅读量，同时进一步学习常用的阅读技巧、写作技巧等来提高语言理解能力，最后帮助学生掌握一些难于理解的语法现象，诸如定语从句、虚拟语气和非谓语动词等。采用读、写、译相结合的模式，不断提高学生的说、写、译等输出能力。
考核方式：考试
成绩评定：
过程性考核占50%，终结性考核占50%。其中过程性考核内容包括：观看视频情况50%，完成网上单元测验试题成绩占30%，离线作业占10%，面授考勤10%。终结性考核线上期末考试（客观性试题）占30%，终结性考核线下考试（主观性试题）占70%。随堂讨论作为学生提问答疑和相互交流，不计分。
