Introduction of 2023 Artificial Intelligence & Innovation Design MOOC

 

The singularity is coming in 2023. 2023 is also the first year of the post-epidemic era after the COVID-19 epidemic, and everything is quietly changing in structure.

 

We have witnessed the comprehensive outbreak of AIGC, with ChatGPT and GPT4.0 incorporating the Human in Loop RLHF algorithm, introducing live data into natural language processing systems and big models, changing the scientific paradigm of contents production. MP mass production is moving towards MC mass customization, and then towards FM flexible intelligent manufacturing. Our production tools, methods, and productivity are all undergoing innovation, and production relations are inevitably undergoing changes.

 

Our MetaVerse and Web3.0 are becoming more mature, with more obvious immersive, interactive narration, interoperability and DAO decentralization. The space, time, characters, stories, digital identities and personalities of natural beings and AI virtual agent life X.0 and avatar, interactive narrative methods, first selves ego and alter ego, human intelligent mobilities, and personality types of the metaverse are all undergoing transformation. The three body, three element universe (the original universe, metaverse, the source universe) is naturally formed.

 

AGI universal artificial intelligence has become more robust and versatile, with greater flexibility and growth. We are paying more attention to embodied meta translation meta language and meta design, and our user experience has evolved into a holo- presence (presence, tele-presence and co-presence) of multiple identities and modalities for individuals, Holo Presence, and cross domain receptive Qualia.

 

UGC user generated content has gone through PGC professional generated content, OGC occupational generated content, and ultimately points to EGC ecological generated content. Course Introduction

This course is designed to respond the challenges posed by global sustainable development and paradigm shift of innovation. As a foundation course for undergraduate and interdisciplinary students, the course covers topics on intelligent innovation (AI) methods, design rules, and  AI design integration; and aims to develop students’ multidisciplinary problem-solving skills built on science, social science, humanity, and art design.

 

Course Overview

Google’s AlphaGo program has beaten a master Go player Lee Se-dol 3-0 in a best-of-five competition, in what is seen as a landmark moment for artificial intelligence. Baidu AI Xiaodu has beaten human’s SUPER BRAIN and won visual recognition competition. Autonomous vehicle transforms human mobility into robots at covid-19 medical center in California in the age of 'Contactless' economy booms amid epidemic. The intelligent medical DNA Repairing Plan rebuilt humans consciousness downloaded and made long life as possible. Amazon Alexa Echo smart speakers translate the context into the three flows (logistics, information flow, financial flow) scenario. The blockchain recalls AI trust and humans social contract to promote virtual intelligent digital economic prosperity. Quantified-self wearable computing devices collect daydream cognition redundancy small data in the silent interface through Internet of Everything(IoE) to raise social capital myriads richness.

 

My girlfriend is the robot Ishiguro’s simulation robot recalls the uncanny valley. Saudi citizen Sophia proved one for all country, all for one country, she beat Jimmy Fallon and won Rock Paper Scissors game, thus launched a new era of ambition to rule the human world. Alibaba and Jingdong have created a business myth with a transaction volume of 100 billion yuan per day in Double 11 event. Tencent wechat has changed the way of human communication through the content exchange intelligent industry from UGC to PGC, OGC to EGC. Jingdong's intelligent logistics and business intelligence have transformed MP mass production into MC mass customization. AI reappeared passed away Paul Walker's film The Fast and the Furious and rewrote the way of filmmaking and television production. The swarm intelligence robot battlebots STINGER kills the target with precision, thus overrides the rules of military war and gameplay mechanical. The talent demand gap of artificial intelligence and innovation design is expanding by over one million every year. Under the dual demand of scientific and technological development and human community sharing future development, Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Design talents have the passion to explore the future as pioneers when the singularity comes, use the bridge of innovation design to cross the Darwin of the Dead Sea, formulate the development direction of the future national innovation system, and liberate the huge productivity of artificial intelligence and innovation design. The course of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Design has been launched in this context of meeting the needs of the times, to follow the trend. Artificial Intelligence is taken from the people, but also to create well-being given back to people.


Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Design is the main basic course of new engineering, new liberal arts and STEAM for undergraduate and interdisciplinary students in response to the strategic development direction. It is the necessary foundation for the follow-up courses of new engineering, new liberal arts and new design as well as the completion of course design and graduation design. This course mainly studies artificial intelligence and innovation design methods, design rules and meta design with artificial intelligence, and carries out comprehensive innovation and problem-solving theories and methods, laying a necessary foundation for cultivating students' intelligent design skills and imagination ability of cross innovation between art and science.


The course of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Design focuses on "meta design". The algorithm application of artificial intelligence (mainly CNN, RNN, GAN, CAN and other algorithms of visual computing) and the innovation of its design method are the basis of this course. The basic task of this course is to cultivate the ability of intelligent design thinking, meta design, intelligent product service design and visual computing thinking design. In the teaching of this course, we should not only keep the high-level of innovation design methods brought by cutting-edge technology, but also form the systematic influence and logical construction of innovation design brought by AI algorithm technology, and pay attention to the combination of artificial intelligence and innovation design; we should not only pay attention to the influence of various artificial intelligence algorithm technology on innovation design process, understand and master various artificial intelligence technology and its response. In addition, we should pay attention to the analysis of the essence of innovation design, and apply AI to the combination of cross platform and cross media AI application development. It can not only train students' creative design ability of human intelligence, but also train students' design modeling ability of artificial intelligence.

Non AI innovation design is a dead design facing the past, AI innovation design is a living design facing the future.


Who knows the future of AI? Maybe Super Intelligence, who knows? God knows. But you can believe in yourself, and try it.


This course is divided into three parts:


Part one: what is artificial intelligence and innovation design? What innovation design can AI do?


The second part is how to master artificial intelligence to do innovation design? What are the algorithms of innovation design?


The third part is to understand why artificial intelligence needs innovation design? What is the methodology of the combination of artificial intelligence and innovation design?


The course is divided into four chapters:


Chapter I Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Design Application [19 lessons] 6 class hours


Chapter II Basic Artificial Intelligence [6 lessons] 3 class hours


Chapter III AI Intelligent Design Rules [9 lessons] 3 class hours


Chapter IV Innovation Thinking Method of AI Intelligent Design [10 lessons] 4 class hours


The course is divided into four chapters and 44 lessons, which respectively describe the application of artificial intelligence and innovation design in various fields, the algorithm technology foundation of artificial intelligence, the rules of artificial intelligence innovation design, and the intelligent design method of artificial intelligence.


Chapter one, Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Design Application, 19 lessons, tells the case analysis of artificial intelligence in the field of art, painting, cultural heritage, clothing, wearable equipment, autonomous vehicle, drone, robot, family service robot, industrial robot, smart city, smart space, intelligent security and rescue all fields of disaster, virtual reality, game AI, AI + + omni empowerment, the innovation application brought by AI, characteristics and laws, as well as the change of innovation design thinking and methods driven by technology. MOOC discussion area mainly discusses the application significance and development prospect of artificial intelligence under the general trend.


The second chapter, the Basis of Artificial Intelligence, 6 lessons, tells the origin of artificial intelligence, the school of philosophy and the basis of technical algorithm. Focusing on the algorithms closely related to the visual thinking, visual design and intelligent product design of autonomous vehicle in the innovation design, this chapter makes an introduction, including the artificial intelligence algorithm convolution neural network (CNN), generative adversarial network (GAN), creative adversarial network (CAN Networks), Partial Order Pruning DF, etc. MOOC discussion area and exercise part, keep focusing on the application scope of mainstream algorithm and its combination with innovation design.


The third chapter, AI Intelligent Design Rules, 9 lessons, tells the new design thinking and rules that AI brings to innovation design as a technical driving force. This part starts from the top ten technical problems faced by AI, tells the top ten problems faced by AI innovation design under the condition that technology changes production tools and productivity as well as production relations, and then extends the concerns of AI design ethics. From the design basis level, combined with the General Purpose Technology (GPT) of AI key purpose technology to analyze the hard core design basis of killer intelligent design. At the same time, in the philosophy level of intelligent innovation design, it focuses on the essence and significance of artificial intelligence aesthetic consciousness. In the aspect of algorithmic technology, return to the essential object of innovation design, from the aspect of increasing dimension and reducing dimension of 11 information dimensions for innovation, describe the design computing rules of artificial intelligence innovation design. The MOOC discussion area focuses on the ethical issues of AI intelligent design, design rules, design Dos and Don'ts, the significance and value of design, non-technical factors such as cultural driving force, economic driving force, social driving force of design beyond technology driving force, and the guiding role of non-technical driving force on Technology driving force.


Chapter four, Innovation Thinking Method of AI Intelligent Design, 10 lessons, about the significance of AI sustainable development, AI sustainable design rules, AI meta design method at the essence level of "design of design", thinking about innovation thinking and innovation method from the thinking and philosophy level, and AI meta design creation at different levels of strategy level, framework level and performance level At the same time, the new mode and process steps are discussed, and the thinking mode leading the innovation design of artificial intelligence is also discussed, that is, the guide of The Quantum Thinking different from Newtonian Thinking and Information Thinking. From the perspective of technology driving, Quantum Physics and Quantum Computing are introduced into the perspective of cultural aesthetics of human art design and the perspective of creating the future, and the guidance of Quantum Innovation Thinking on the innovation design of artificial intelligence is discussed freely, the essential law of innovation design is introduced finally.
