AI is studying how to use computer and software to achieve the think, perception and behavior of intelligent agent, its theoretical basis are mainly composed by searching, reasoning, planning and learning, and its application fields include computer vision, image analysis, pattern recognition, expert system, automated planning, intelligent search, computer game, intelligent control, robotics, natural language processing, social network, data mining, virtual reality, and etc.

After systematically reviewing the history of AI, this course focuses on the core ideas, basic theories, major approaches and some applications of artificial intelligence.

This course is based on an English textbook and has compiled and enriched a lot of contents according to the development and growth of artificial intelligence, especially the field of machine learning. It is consisting of into 5 parts and 12 chapters.
