在国际化和当代中国发展的双重趋势下,本课程将继续向国内外的新话题、新趋势加以拓展。课程将从更广阔的国际视野出发,以“一带一路”沿线国家为例,探讨中西方比较视角下的城市规划理论和实践发展;同时也探讨历史上的城市规划与未来的城市规划面临的共同挑战,以及新技术的应用。课程介绍了美国百年以来的城市规划和社区规划思潮,在时代要求下,也加入了以人文关怀为主导的中国社区规划篇章,体现了东西方从关注物质空间到关注社会问题的殊路同归。
作为北京交通大学的专业核心课,课程中也加入了智慧城市、数据支撑设计、轨道交通与城市发展关系等对于21世纪城市发展来说至关重要的问题。希望通过本课程的学习,培养适应国际化趋势,有扎实理论基础,适应城市规划行业和职业实际工作需要的应用型高层次城市规划人才。通过课程学习,希望学生获得博雅教育的思维框架——既有着城市规划专业知识,又有着城市领导力和开拓精神,不仅可以胜任中国国内的规划工作,也在国家“一路一带”倡议中,成为“规划先行”的引导者和开拓者。
课程章节之间较为独立,既可以按照先后顺序逐章学习,也可以独立观看感兴趣的章节。每个课程具有中文和英文两个版本,便于中国学生和国际学生在学习时交互使用。
Students successfully completing this course will acquire essential knowledge about the major theories of urban planning, learn about the development of urban theories and their application to practice, learn about the different goals and processes of urban planning, and develop an understanding of the laws and regulations that govern urban planning practice. This course emphasizes the application of theory to urban planning practice to equip students with the intellectual foundations for the creation and maintenance of sustainable urban settlements.
Secondary objectives for this course are to assist students to develop and enhance both oral and written communication skills, as well as critical thinking skills. Oral communication skills include speaking, listening, group participation and other forms of human interaction. Written communication skills include the use of formal and informal in class and out of class writing assignments. In each case, the activities and assignments are not only for the purpose of teaching communication skills, but also for the development of research, reasoning, and problem-solving skills necessary for effective planning practice.
