Infectious diseases are diseases caused by pathogens entering the body and triggering infection. There are thousands of pathogens on the earth that can cause infections, including viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa and etc., everywhere in human existence. These diseases may be contagious, spread from person to person, or can be spread indirectly through the polluted environment, or can be spread from animals to people, and become zoonotic. From smallpox, plague, cholera to SARS, avian influenza and Ebola, this war without gun smoke between humans and infectious diseases has not come to an end. Let's get to know infectious diseases and prevent infectious diseases together, then we will not fear infectious diseases.

This course is led by the Department of Infectious Diseases, Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, together with experts from the disciplines of infection, such as the Pediatric Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, and Shanghai Public Health Center. The course is patients-centered, and closely intergrates the relevant contents of microbiology, immunology and epidemiology, to tell the wonderful stories of infectious diseases. Course content covers common viral infectious diseases (such as hepatitis B, AIDS, avian influenza, hand, foot and mouth disease, measles, epidemic hemorrhagic fever, etc.), bacterial infectious diseases (such as tuberculosis, cholera, typhoid, etc.), fungi infectious diseases (cryptococcosis), parasitic infectious diseases (such as malaria, amoeba, schistosomiasis, etc.); also covers clinically practical content such as fever of unknown origin (FUO), fever in returning travelers, nosocomial infection, central nervous system infection. Through this online course of about 10-15 minutes per class, let everyone learn and master the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.

Completed Internal Medicine, Surgery and Pediatrics, and has a certain clinical medical foundation.
