Marine Engineering Management establishes a main line which to ensure the safe and efficient operation of marine engineering equipment and prevention of marine pollution, mainly explains the "heart" of ships---ship power plants, by combining practical cases with relevant knowledge, and using the concise and interesting expressions to allow learners to know the actual needs of the marine engineering. The course systematically expounds ship power plant, ship propulsion plant, the working conditions of the propulsion plant, the ship piping system and its management, and the management of reliability and economy of the ship power plant, oil, spare parts and stores in the engine department, ship safety management system and ship safety inspection, ship anti-pollution, ship surveys, shipyard repair and overhaul management, ship safe operation and emergency, crew management. The contents focuses on the explanation of ship power plant technology management system theory and system analysis methods; and contributes to cultivate the students practical ability by the basic training of safety awareness and environmental protection concepts.
