The subject of automation major belongs to the control science and engineering. Automatic control theory is the core course of automation majors. To prevent fragmentation of the content, this course will start with all sub-areas around the control, and use practical cases to introduce the research methods in each area. The course is divided into four parts: basic concepts of the control theory, introduction of common research methods on control subject, part field of control subject and its research methods. The main focus is on the introduction of the concepts, ideas, knowledge and methods in the content, and to avoid too much theoretical demonstration. In addition, the current information technology and network development trends are involved.

The main aim of this course is to enable students to master the basic concepts of classical control theory, basic principles and methods. After taking this course, students are expected to be able to acquire a solid mastery of the basic concepts of control theory, and have the abilities of qualitative analysis, quantitative estimation and dynamic simulation for a simple system, and lay a necessary foundation for further study and participating in control engineering practice simultaneously.

授课目标

The main aim of this course is to enable students to master the basic concepts of classical control theory, basic principles and methods. After taking this course, students are expected to be able to acquire a solid mastery of the basic concepts of control theory, and have the abilities of qualitative analysis, quantitative estimation and dynamic simulation for a simple system, and lay a necessary foundation for further study and participating in control engineering practice simultaneously.
