课程概述

Systematic anatomy is one of main courses in medicine. It is also the foundation subjects in medical study. The human anatomy is the science which deals with the morphology and structure of human body. Medical students must know position, shape and regional relationship of the organs and structures in the body. It is importance for doctor to practice all specially areas of medicine. Anatomy, is closely associated with radiology and surgery, it forms an essential basis for all branches of medicine. Its importance to the surgeon has long been apparent but today such developments as new imaging techniques, biopsy procedures, and noninvasive therapeutic methods make an accurate knowledge of anatomy equally essential to the practice of all specially areas of medicine.

授课目标

OBJECTIVES:

1, The students can explain the osteology and arthrology, describe the bone and joint of trunk, bone and joint of limbs, skull and arthrology.                                
2, The students can explain the splanchnology, describe the contents, position and shape of Alimentary System, Respiratory System, urinary System, Reproductive System and Peritoneum     
3, The students can explain the Cardiovascular System, describe the contents, position and shape of Heart, Artery, Vein and Lymphatic System                        
4, The students can describe the contents, position and shape of Visual Organ and Vestibulocochlear Organ.
5, The students can explain the Nervous System, describe the contents, position and shape of the cranial nerves, visceral nervers, spinal cord, brain Stem, cerebellum, diencephalon, telencephalon, nervous pathways, meninges and blood vessels of brain and CSF.

Systematic anatomy

Welcome to the second year course in Human Systematic Anatomy. This manual is designed to help you with the course. It outlines the aims, objectives and outcomes of the course, together with guidelines for tutorials and the course essay, examination procedures and a list of lectures each with a brief summary. The manual also contains the schedules for laboratory practical, and the Structures and Functions of Human Body problems for the discussion sessions.

Please bring this manual and a textbook to every practical, tutorial and discussion session you attend.

 

Prerequisites: biology, Biochemistry or equivalent

Credits (hours per week, Lecture/Practical):5 (4-2)

Year: 2nd year 1st semester

Anatomy, is closely associated with radiology and surgery, it forms an essential basis for all branches of medicine. Its importance to the surgeon has long been apparent but today such developments as new imaging techniques, biopsy procedures, and noninvasive therapeutic methods make an accurate knowledge of anatomy equally essential to the practice of all specially areas of medicine.

GOAL

Observing and summarizing briefly the structures, students can acquire most of the fundamental knowledge and know position, shape and regional relationship of the organs and structures in the body. Students learn a new anatomical terms at least 4,500 words. When you learn these words you will be able to speak the anatomical language fluently. You will feel ease talking to your clinical colleagues because the anatomical terms constitutes most of the words making up the medical terminology.


Each session will be offered to the entire class.

An assistant will act as liaison between students and teachers, and will be responsible for taking attendance, collecting exam papers, and related matters.

The course comprises 64 hr of lectures and 32 hr of lab hours.

There are 4 hr of lectures and 2 hr of lab hours in one week.

During the whole anatomy courses, more emphasis will be placed on self-learning and problem solving. Observation is the best way of learning anatomy. In the Lab period, by observing, feeling and summarizing briefly the structures, students can acquire most of the fundamental knowledge.

 

GRADE

Final grades are assigned using the following system:

90% and above  = Honors; 

60%-89%           = Pass; 

below 60%         = Failure.


Final grades will be determined as follows: 

MOOC quiz           60%, 

Final examination 20%, 

Specimen exam    20%.
