spContent=Reading and drawing engineering drawings are necessary professional skills for engineering technicians such as water conservancy and civil engineering. They are also required professional basic courses for students of various colleges and universities. Engineering drawings are called engineering technology language. Do you want to know how this engineering technology language expresses engineering information? Come on! Follow us into the classroom of descriptive geometry and engineering drawing, learn and master this professional skill together! ——The Course Team

Course overview

In the civil engineering construction, from the initial planning to the design and construction are inseparable from the engineering drawings. Engineering drawing is the most important tool and basis to reflect the design idea and guide the construction. Therefore, it is also compared to "engineering technology language". This course is to learn this language.

Starting from points, lines and surfaces, the course will gradually learn the projection law, gradually and orderly train the spatial thinking ability, introduce the transformation of spatial form and plane figure in a simple way, and teach you to express the design idea and engineering buildings completely and accurately with engineering drawing. The course belongs to the basic course of major subjects, including descriptive geometry and engineering drawing.

Descriptive geometry is a basic theory of technology in the field of mathematics. It is the extension of primary geometry, which provides a series of theoretical basis and methods for expressing space geometry elements and bodies on the plane. It also solves space geometry problems with the method of plane drawing. It has strict reasoning and logicality. The main contents of descriptive geometry include: the basic theory of projection; the projection law of points, lines, faces and bodies; the projection of intersecting lines of body surfaces; axonometric projection; elevation projection, etc. Descriptive geometry mainly solves the following problems: how to use the projection law to express the spatial geometric elements (points, lines, surfaces) and basic bodies on the plane; how to use the method of geometric drawing to solve the spatial geometric problems on the plane.

Engineering cartography is divided into two parts: Cartographic basis and water conservancy or building engineering drawing. It is a technical basic theoretical discipline that uses the theoretical knowledge and methods of descriptive geometry to conceive, express, read and draw engineering buildings. The main contents of engineering drawing include: engineering drawing standards and basic regulations; various expression methods of architectural form; reading and drawing of water conservancy or building engineering drawing, etc. Engineering drawing mainly solves the following problems: how to accurately express the architectural form on the drawing with two-dimensional or three-dimensional figures according to the basic theory of projection, various methods and national standards; how to correctly read, understand, conceive and draw the engineering drawing, so as to lay the foundation for the following professional courses and Engineering design.

Common problems

Q:Take photos and send pictures about unit work!

A: Upload photos after unit operation. Please upload them in the following way.

Q:About unit work mutual evaluation!

A: After the deadline for uploading unit assignments, you can participate in the mutual evaluation of assignments. Each student needs to evaluate 5 assignments. Students who do not participate in the mutual evaluation will not be able to record the results of unit assignments normally. Please remember to participate in the mutual evaluation!

Q:About the discussion area score.

A: 5% of the course discussions are set up in this period. Please go to the "classroom exchange area" to actively participate in the course discussions or ask questions at least 5 times. The teacher will answer the meaningful discussion posts in time.

Q:About deadline!

A: There is a deadline for all projects released by the course, and the time is not the same. In general, in order to facilitate the mutual evaluation of students' assignments, the deadline for submission of unit assignments will be a little earlier, and the deadline for submission of each unit will be different. Please pay attention to the deadline of each project!
